Stanza Lounge
Hidden behind a velvet curtain inside Lynora’s Italian Restaurant, Stanza Lounge, the latest concept from celebrated restaurateur Angelo Abbenante is a speakeasy-style cocktail lounge located in West Palm Beach. The room is made to feel decadent and layered, with plush seating, reflective surfaces, and low lighting that creates an exclusive atmosphere.
From the start, the sound at Stanza was treated as a defining element of the experience, just as much as the gilded mirrors and red lacquered walls. Stanza invites guests to step into a moody world of vintage allure, masterfully mixed cocktails, and sultry soundtracks. This is not your average nightclub, but a refined lounge catering to a discerning audience. The audio system needed to deliver warmth, clarity, and energy at modest levels, supporting the room’s character without overwhelming conversation or service. Visual discretion was equally important, particularly around the DJ, where clear sightlines were essential.
K-array professional audio solutions were selected based on previous success with Dragon KX12 I systems installed at the house music lounge and bar, Spazio. For Stanza, the design centered on a four-point system using Dragon KX12 I coaxial point-source loudspeakers, chosen for their ability to deliver a visceral, emotionally engaging performance with clarity and impact. The system was designed to deliver high impact without being pushed to its limits, helping it perform reliably over time.
At the DJ booth, compact lightweight Python KP52 I loudspeakers provide accurate monitoring without obstructing DJ sightlines. Low-frequency is provided by a Thunder KS5 I subwoofer hidden under the DJ booth. In an intimate space like Stanza, this approach keeps the sound balanced without becoming intrusive.
The system runs at a low percentage of its overall capacity. This allows music to feel full and detailed without “blowing people out of the water”. The resolution of the Dragon and Python combination reveals detail in familiar tracks that was previously absent, giving recordings new depth and presence.

At Stanza Lounge, the audio system helps to shape the space’s identity. The combination of discreet K-array coverage, low-frequency support, and high-resolution performance creates a listening experience that becomes part of the room’s texture, supporting an exclusive atmosphere where guests linger, listen, and let the experience unfold.
