Dragon KXT18P Debut at Miami Music Week
K-array unveiled its new powerful KXT18P loudspeaker at Miami Music Week 2025, the flagship of the new generation of powerful point source speakers in the Dragon Family to arrive in the US.
Miami Music Week, drawing over 160,000 people from around the world, served as the perfect showcase for this brand new audio force. At the outdoor Hyde Beach, SLS Hotel Miami venue, production company DRVCS featured four of the KXT18P speakers in each corner of the exclusive $10,000+ VIP area bringing high definition sound to guests during performances by top artists including Marshmello, MEDUZA, James Hype, HUGEL, Luciano, ALOK, and JAUZ.
The new KXT18P, the largest speaker in the Dragon family, delivers extraordinary performance with its advanced tri-axial componentry. It features an 18" woofer paired with dual coaxial compression drivers, delivering an impressive 144dB SPL and frequency response down to 50Hz. Its durable birch plywood cabinet combines robustness with elegant design and offers a unique visual option - with the mesh grille removed, the exposed coaxial horn (available in standard black or standout silver) can be custom colored to match any event or environment. Perfect for high energy venues, installations, and live events, the KXT18P redefines audio power and style.
For the main PA system at Hyde Beach, DRVCS deployed K-array's powerful Firenze series, utilizing KH7 and KS8 speakers. Additionally, Mugello-KH2 and Thunder-KS5 speakers were strategically placed to handle DJ monitoring duties.
“The KXT18P’s we used in the VIP area at Hyde Beach were exactly what we needed. These speakers hit hard but kept everything super clean. VIP clients dropping $10K+ on tables want to feel the bass but still talk to each other without screaming. K-array nailed it with these speakers; crisp highs, tight bass, and you could hear every layer of the music in VIP. That's huge for events like Miami Music Week where the sound quality needs to match what the client is paying for." - Davel Rodriguez, President DRVCS
