Elevating Showroom Audio: Midtown Video’s Take on K-array

An interview with Jesse Miller, CEO, Midtown Video

I sat down with Jesse Miller, CEO of Midtown Video, to talk about his team’s recent K-array showroom installation and what drew him to the brand in the first place. Jesse shared how K-array aligns perfectly with Midtown’s boutique, high-performance approach to AV. Here's our conversation.


Sarah Puerini: Hey Jesse, thanks for taking the time to chat with me today. Let’s start with the big picture: what made you choose K-array for your showroom, and how does it reflect your brand or the experience you want to offer clients?

Jesse Miller: From the first demonstration of K-array speakers, I was blown away. I love the look and the sound is impeccable. Midtown's services have always been positioned as boutique and high quality. K-array fits our offerings precisely.

Sarah: That’s exactly what we love to hear. K-array was designed to support integrators who lead with both performance and design. Tell us about the K-array systems you chose to install and how they’re being used in the space.

Jesse: We have 2 separate K-array systems on a selector. The Vyper KV102 II's are installed in stereo at the front video wall with a Rumble KU210 sub embedded in our video wall. This is our premium sound option. For the clients who need the speakers to disappear entirely, we installed a KSCAPE Rail lighting system in the conference room. This is also paired with the sub. Clients are really responding to the combination of office lighting and conference sound.

Sarah: It’s great that you’ve created a way for clients to experience both a premium and discreet solution. Once everything was installed and up and running, what was your initial reaction?

Jesse: It is mind-bending to see the slim, sexy speakers and then hear the big booming sound. "Disbelief" is a common reaction. How can they get so much sound out of these tiny speakers?

Sarah: I love that reaction. People are always so surprised by what those slim speakers can do. Aside from the wow factor, how is K-array helping you solve challenges that come up in commercial installs?

Jesse: The K-array line is incredibly unique in the physical appearance (dare I say beauty?) of the speakers. Whether we are concealing them or featuring them, they deliver pristine sound. They enable Midtown to deliver on our promise of systems that inspire pride and confidence.
