Caribou Club
Since opening its doors in 1990, Caribou Club has been Aspen’s most prestigious members-only club. Known for its luxury dining, extensive wine list, and vibrant nightlife, Caribou functions as an elite supper club with a restaurant, bar, and dance floor.
Despite its reputation as an Aspen icon, the club’s sound system had not been updated in years. As member expectations shifted and Aspen’s social scene evolved, the Caribou Club looked to refresh its audio system to better support late-night energy and attract a younger demographic without disturbing its refined atmosphere.
When club owners looked to upgrade the energy of the Dance Floor, he turned to Jobe Systems, a trusted AV integrator with a reputation for designing systems that deliver impact with elegance. The new system needed to be powerful enough to energize a packed dance floor, yet refined enough to match the club’s English comfort meets Western style look.
Jobe Systems specified a K-array solution that immediately transformed the Dance Floor. The installation featured:
4x Dragon-KX12 loudspeakers
2x Thunder-KS3P I subwoofers
1x Kommander-KA104 amplifier
The results drew a younger crowd, packing the dance floor and staying long past the usual hour before moving on to other establishments. It quickly became clear to Caribou that if the dance floor sounded this good, they needed that same experience across the entire club. The loudspeakers had to be discreet, blending with the club’s rustic chic interior design, from the mirrored dance floor under an antler and crystal chandelier to the art filled Pow Wow and Hunt Rooms. The goal wasn’t to reinvent the club; it was to modernize the experience without disturbing its prestige.
Caribou expanded the K-array footprint throughout its restaurant, bar, and lounge areas. Each room received its own tailored solution; in the Lounge & Bar, speakers were custom painted a deep green to blend into the room and orientation was adjusted to balance clear sound with easy conversation, the Great Room was kept subtle, also with custom colored speakers and the Pow Wow Room and Hunt Room, both filled with prominent Western art, received discreet installed speakers to match their unique atmospheres. Now, the club’s entire audio ecosystem runs on K-array, including:

4x Thunder-KS1P I compact subwoofers
1x Truffle-KTR25 subwoofers
System management is handled by K-array’s K-Control platform, giving staff the ability to zone, adjust, and transition the club with ease from dinner service to energetic nightlife.
Once the system was in place, the dance floor drew crowds that stayed longer, the bar and lounge took on new life, and each area retained its own identity without sound bleeding from one space to another. According to the club’s ownership, Caribou recently experienced its biggest year ever, and the success has been directly attributed to the K-array sound upgrade.
